SHREDLY Women’s Cycling Gear Round Up

I ran into Marley Blonsky working the SHREDLY booth at Sea Otter Classic in April. You may remember Marley from her Shimano’s viral bikepacking video “All Bodies on Bikes.” Shortly after Sea Otter, the company hooked me up with some popular pieces to test and review.

Beyond Technical Long Sleeve Jersey

All Time 11” – Zipper Snap Mid-Rise Short

Limitless 11” High-Rise Short

Long Fingered Glove

If you are unfamiliar with the SHREDLY brand, it was established in 2012 by Ashley Rankin. The company emerged from her passion for enhancing the apparel options available to female riders. The brand is dedicated to empowering women to explore in style, offering a comprehensive range of products from biking gear to lifestyle attire and snow sports equipment. Known for its vibrant and functional designs, SHREDLY focuses on aesthetic appeal and fosters a sense of community among its customers.

Beyond Tech Long Sleeve Jersey

Price: $88

Fit: Runs big

Sizes: XS – 3XL

Colors: Noir, Citron, Galaxy Splatter, Midnight Tie Dye

Material: Polyester/spandex, lightweight, performance blend fabric that is anti-microbial, anti-odor, and luxuriously super soft.

Sun protection: UPF 30

The Beyond Tech long-sleeve jersey offers exceptional comfort with its silky, next-to-skin fabric. Its bonded seams eliminate rough edges, preventing chafing, and the four-way stretch material ensures unrestricted movement on and off the bike. The fabric provides excellent sun protection (UPF 30) and is also treated with chemical-free FAR infrared ray and negative ion technology, giving it anti-bacterial and odor-resistant properties. However, I found the jersey to run large, and it was somewhat baggy on me. I recommend consulting the website sizing chart, but going down one size would have made for a better fit for me.

All Time 11” Short

Price: $108

Fit: Runs big

Sizes: 00 – 16

Colors: Available in 18 patterns/colors

Material: EcoMove: lightweight, durable, 4-way stretch, quick-dry fabric made from recycled polyester/spandex

Pockets: Two front hand pockets, one zippered hip pocket, and one zippered side pocket.

The All Time 11” shorts are not your typical MTB/gravel shorts. They come in 18 patterns and colors, letting you showcase your unique style on and off the trail. The 11” inseam offers generous leg coverage, shielding you from the sun and branches. Crafted with a stretch waistband and fabric, these shorts deliver unrestricted movement and easily accommodate knee pads.

If you love pockets, these shorts are for you. These shorts feature four pockets: two deep, mesh-lined hand pockets up front, a zippered hip pocket, and a zippered side pocket.

As with the jersey reviewed above, these shorts ran big. The fly front was nice, but I wished they had a drawstring or Velcro side adjusters that would have provided a better fit.

Limitless 11” High-Rise Short

Price: $108

Fit: Runs big

Sizes: 00 – 24

Colors: Available in 19 patterns/colors

Material: EcoMove: lightweight, durable, 4-way stretch, water-repellant, and quick-drying fabric made from recycled polyester/spandex.

Waistband: Stretch knit plus a drawstring

Pockets: Two front hand pockets, one zippered hip pocket, and one zippered side pocket.

Shredly’s Limited 11” High Rise shorts share many similarities with their All Time 11” counterparts, but with a notable difference: they feature a stretch knit waistband and drawstring instead of a zipper fly. These shorts are available in extended sizing (00-24) and 19 patterns and colors.

Recognized multiple times by Outside Magazine as the Best Women’s MTB Short, these shorts have a reputation for excellence.

Based on my experience, the shorts tend to run a bit large. I could have comfortably gone down one size for a better fit.

Long Fingered Gloves

Price: $29

Fit: Runs true to size

Sizes: XS-XL

Colors: Available in 10 patterns/colors

Material: Four-way stretch, knit cuff (no Velcro), no padding, cloth thumb panel

Touch screen compatible: Somewhat

Padding: None

Shredly’s long-fingered gloves are comfortable and breathable for summer riding. The back of the hand has a four-way stretch mesh fabric, while the palm uses tiny laser-cut ventilation holes for cooling. Strategically placed silicon graphics on the thumb and index finger enhance grip on the bars, brakes, and shifters. The knit cuff lets you easily pull on and off the gloves, and the soft thumb panel is handy for wiping away sweat or the occasional runny nose.

With ten color and pattern options and priced at an affordable $29, you can coordinate these gloves with any of your riding shorts. The extensive size range (XXS-XL) caters to all hand sizes, and I found them to fit true to size.

However, one aspect that could be improved is the touchscreen sensitivity on the index finger. It wasn’t as responsive as I’d hoped, so I often had to remove a glove to answer calls or snap photos.
