Who says sunglasses are boring? Not the new Smith limited-edition artist series featuring internationally recognized illustrator, author, and avid cyclist Lisa Congdon is far from boring. The bright and vibrant graphics adorn two of Smith’s popular frames – Bobcat and Sway.
Congdon began her artistic journey in her early 40s and has since published ten books. She has seen her work supported by notable lifestyle brands and showcases at The Museum of Modern Art, Google, and Harvard University. Outside the studio, Congdon is a medaled competitive cyclist, activist, and co-founder of The Long Table Collective mentoring program for emerging, underrepresented, diverse creatives.
The Bobcat frame is ideal for cyclists with narrow faces, offering oversized coverage for maximum protection. The second model, Sway, is an everyday frame with a modern twist to the classic 50s cat-eye silhouette. They are the perfect choice for everyday wear, and their thicker frame and oversized fit add a bold and contemporary flair to your cycling gear.

Since I was already familiar with the Bobcat frames, I decided to give the Sway model a try. Priced at $195, the Sway is available as sunglasses or clear prescription lenses. The frames were designed for a medium face but were slightly too big for my narrow face. However, the Megol nose pads offer a non-slip grip and do a fair job of keeping the glasses from sliding down my nose.
Equipped with ChromaPop™ polarized lenses, which significantly enhance visual clarity and color contrast and minimize glare. The lenses are impact-resistant and are ideal for everyday wear. The lenses have smudge and moisture-resistant coatings, making them easy to clean.

Unlike the Bobcat, which comes with a hardshell case, the Sway sunglasses are provided with only a microfiber pouch. While the bag is handy for quick clean-ups, a hardshell case would offer better protection for the glasses when not in use.
