What’s the Difference? Topeak E-Booster vs. E-Booster Mini

Back in April 2025, Topeak launched its E-Booster pump at Sea Otter Classic. One year later, the company released the E-Booster Digital Mini, making some feature improvements while reducing its size and weight.

Size comparison and valve orientation between Topeak’s E-Booster Digital Mini (left) and E-Booster Digital (right).

To reduce the size and weight, Topeak removed the smart head that toggled between Presta and Schrader. Now the Mini requires you to swap the valve adapters depending on which valve you need to inflate. Although it’s not very intuitive which way to insert the parts when switching between Presta and Schrader, I can’t remember the last time I inflated a Schrader valve. Therefore, I believe this is a moot point for most people. Also, the valve orientation has changed, as shown in the picture above.

Another new feature is the addition of a color screen and a flashlight, which improves visibility in low light.  The color screen displays the target tire pressure in yellow and the gauge in white. Double-tapping the minus button activates the flashlight, while the plus button switches the measurement units from PSI to BAR to KG/CM2.

Topeak added additional ventilation holes, but the pump still gets warm after prolonged use. Like every other electric pump I’ve tested, the E-Booster Mini is loud, and I recommend using it outside or with ear protection if inflating indoors.

What Hasn’t Changed?

The Mini features the same flexible 2” extension hose as the previous E-Booster model. I found the hose to be somewhat short and not very flexible. The pump does a good job of inflating a tire quickly and automatically stops when it reaches the preset pressure to prevent over-inflation. Additionally, the company claims the same accuracy for both pumps at + or – 2 psi.

The Mini features the same flexible 2” extension hose as the previous E-Booster model.

What’s Included in the Box?

The Mini comes with:

  • Pump
  • Clothe storage bag
  • Weatherproof storage pouch
  • USB-C charging cable
  • 2” flexible extension hose
  • Valve adapters for Presta, Schrader, and Clik
  • Quick Start guide
  • Manual

Bottom Line

The new Topeak E-Booster Mini is now lighter and more compact than its predecessor. It easily fits in a saddlebag or jersey pocket for quick and convenient tire inflation. However, the pump comes at a premium price of $155 but saves you money and the environment by eliminating the need for single-use CO2 cartridges.
